You will receive comprehensive aftercare guidance at the time of your service to ensure proper healing and long-lasting health of your new piercing. Visit – After Care Guide.

We do use medical grade, surgical, stainless-steel. We additionally do not use externally-threaded jewelry.

Be Prepared. We highly recommend clients have a moderate meal a few hours before their piercing, as well as be hydrated! Having food in your stomach helps your blood sugar levels during the procedure. We also require all clients arrive sober.

At Legacy, your health and safety are our top priorities. We only use internally threaded or threadless, high-polish, implant-grade titanium (ASTM F-136). All of our initial jewelry is APP-verified to ensure it is safe for long-term wear and biocompatible with your body, minimizing the risk of irritation or allergic reactions.

For most piercings, we recommend starting with a straight or curved stud. Rings tend to move more and can put uneven pressure on a fresh piercing, which often leads to irritation bumps and slower healing times. The only exceptions we typically make are for Daith and Septum piercings. Once your piercing is fully healed, we would be happy to help you switch to a ring!

We strictly use single-use, sterile hollow needles and never use piercing guns. Needles are much safer as they create a clean, precise opening that promotes faster healing. Piercing guns use blunt force to push jewelry through the skin, which causes unnecessary tissue trauma and cannot be properly sterilized in an autoclave, posing a significant hygiene risk.

Healing times vary significantly depending on the location of the piercing and your body’s unique recovery process. As a general guide:

  • Earlobes: 2–3 months

  • Ear Cartilage (Helix, Conch, etc.): 6–12 months

  • Nostril: 4–6 months

  • Navel: 6–9 months We provide detailed aftercare instructions at your appointment to ensure you have all the tools necessary for a smooth healing journey.
