Hello! I’m Ryan Mante aka (Mayong) and I’m from the Philippines. I grew up in Tagum City, on the island of Mindanao. Currently I live in Calgary working as a tattoo artist. I specialize in black and grey realism, dot work, portrait and micro-realism. My passions since when I was kid are drawing, dance (I used to dance in a croup called “City Brothers” in Tagum City) and making shirt designs to sell. I entered the tattoo industry in 2018. I was inspired by my mentor from Guatemala and a follower of some good, local artists back home. I find art is the way of expressing my best version of me, meeting nice people and making friends. Art makes me happy. Art can change your life and I believe it’s a gift from God.
I find joy by doing almost any outdoor activity, including hiking, running, and exploring with our furbabies. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also strive to live mindfully and intentionally by creating uplifting routines and relaxing rituals.
